This site is the personal site of me. Designed in the first place for setting up this web site is that I was interested in HTML/Java-programming and wanted to build up some experience with the Internet. It started with publishing some standard information like you will find on most other personal home pages. A lot of practical information: My e-mail address, a map with the route to my house, etc. Some sort of digital business card. Very practical; from now on I only have to give people the URL of my web site and they can find everything they need. If they at least have access to the internet...
Later on I started to add information about the hobbies I have and some holiday reports.
Anyhow, I think some people can make good use with the information provided, and at least it will wake up some creativity. My activities and creations are often conventional, and on this site you can see that things can be done differently.
t isn't finished yet. One of the nice things about setting up a personal site like this one is that you realize how many things you have done and what you are doing. There are still many subjects that need to be placed over here. If you find this site interesting you should come back once in a while.
This site is not commercial: You won't find advertisements here. Not for third parties, but also not for my own activities that I earn my money with. Where applicable you will find a link to another site, but I kept the amount of "external" links quite low. That eases maintenance, and there are enough methods to find other sites anyhow.
I have designed and tested my pages with Explorer on a 800 by 600 screen. The look may less pretty with different browsers or with smaller or larger screen sizes.
I hate long response times, so I have taken care for fast downloading times. There are no "oversized" pictures and resolution of the image files is never higher than that of the original source.
I have programmed all external links in such a way that the browser opens a new window for them. If you want to return from such an external link to my site the "back" key won't work, you just have to close the overlapping window.
This site is under construction and will probably remain in that condition for the rest of its life.
